Touchdown Car Rentals was formed to provide Holiday-makers and corporate travellers, arriving at the Gold Coast’s Coolangatta Airport, with a value for money rental car service.

We are a family owned and run car rental business based at Currumbin on Queensland’s sunny Gold Coast, which is very handy to Coolangatta Airport and the southern end of the Gold Coast, plus it is a very short drive to Tweed Heads and the Northern Rivers region of Northern New South Wales, including places like Byron Bay, Murwillumbah, Mullumbimby, Pottsville, Hastings Point, Brunswick Heads and Kingscliff.

All our cars are thoroughly maintained and quality checked before they go out. Our motto in regards to safety is quite simple:

There are various factors to consider when we offer you a quote the one thing we don’t do is advertise a ridiculously low price and then start adding on the hidden extras.

When you make an enquiry we will give you a fixed price quote, based on the information you supply us. As long as the vehicle is returned in the manner it was rented to you, there will be no other charges.

Carbon Emission Offsets

We are proud to announce that, in association with Greenfleet, we annually pay a fee towards offsetting the carbon emissions of our vehicles. In return Greenfleet plant 17 trees for each vehicle in our fleet. These trees will absorb about 4.36 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide as well as being beneficial in tackling soil salinity problems, improving water quality and providing essential habitat for native fauna species.
